We are writing to inform you of the existing situation of the church renovation, which began last year in October at our 25th anniversary of the establishment of our parish when the first fund raiser was created for this purpose. This was indeed a successful event that helped us to raise the funds of $13,000 for the exterior renovation of our building beginning with the side on Forest Avenue.
This was a difficult process starting with the scraping and peeling off layers of paint, cleaning the bricks of dust, smoke, and graffiti. We had good results finishing the first part of the job with the help of Mr. Mihai Ciocan and his company Time Contracting who was kind enough to only charge us for the workers labor and materials.
At present, the church looks much better since all the work that has been done and replacement of the deteriorating columns and we hope to continue this renovation further on to the side of Putnam Avenue.
We thank you all for your dedication and support and we believe we can finalize this project for our church and continue to have a beautiful place where we pray and keep our faith and Romanian traditions here in the city of New York.
May God Bless You with Peace, Love, and Health!
